"Senior leader of West Bengal Congress Dr Gautam Ghosh, AICC Committee member and Kolkata Congress Committee general secretary Rakesh Kumar Singh and TMC legal cell leader Devjani Dasgupta are joining BJP and will work to strengthen the party," announced senior BJP leader Mukul Roy. "Gautam Ghosh has also worked in the core committee of Rahul Gandhi," he added.

In a major setback to West Bengal Congress ahead of the General Elections, two of its leaders joined the saffron party on Monday. While One Leader from Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress also joined trucks with BJP which had emerged as Principle Opposition in Mamata Banerjee’s Bastion.
Addressing the press on the event where these leaders joined the BJP, Senior BJP Leader Mukul Roy claimed that many others MLAs, MPs and other Too Leaders from both – Congress and TMC are in touch. He further claimed that many more leaders will join the BJP ahead of the Mega Battle of 2019.
